No, deals today. With the holidays approaching this has been a serious topic in my home.
Raising kids in a society where alcoholism is all around you & is perfectly acceptable behavior. Here in Wisconsin alcohol is an everyday thing that is consumed around children. Life here in Wisconsin revolves around drinking. The Packers are playing we drink, it's a holiday we are drinking. When the hell aren't people drinking? Why is it okay to be driving our children around town after having a couple of drinks at the local bar i will never understand. How do we teach the kids to be responsible when we as adults are not acting properly? Yes, I know I live in one of the drunkiest states in America. How the hell do I explain what is right or wrong when it comes to alcohol when a person who is an alcoholic can get away with horrible behavior towards others but society's excuse will be."Oh, they were drinking". We need to do better as a society as our children need to see the positives of living without this horrible vice! Yes, I know I am going against the majority's beliefs on this one. The reality is that everyone has experienced some form of loss because of addiction. Make it make sense for our kids!!
